Having spent many years working in the textile trade I decided to go back to education and pursue a career as a textile designer. In 2001 I graduated with a BA Hons Degree in International Textiles and Surface pattern. My career began teaching fine art and textiles as well as working as a freelance designer working with both surface design companies and local fashion designers. I left teaching in 2004. After a 10 year gap away from the creative industries I decided once again to pick up my artist brushes and rekindled my love for painting.

I love to paint figurative, mainly female form. Water colour is my main medium; however, I’m slowly beginning to enjoy the freedom of oil paint. My first oil painting (Flight) was sold at Cleveland Art Society’s Summer Exhibition 2014.
